New strings for my cheap uke

Got my first uke a couple of years ago, cheap soparano starter kit from Amazon. The tone is not great, I know it’s partly my technique but I’m hoping these will brighten it up a bit.

What strings are you using, and what are you using them on?

Clear fluorocarbon will give you a bright tone, and higher tension strings will give you more volume and projection -- something like Worth CE or Worth CD clear strings.

Aquila New Nylgut are always a reliable choice for adding flavour to dull-sounding ukuleles too.

Thanks! I've still not tried the new strings, will keep these in mind if they don't work out.

I really enjoy strings by this brand. I'm still experimenting with the different types.
