Can I block/hide magazines and communities from the "all" feed

There's one or two magazines that I'm not interested that take up most of the default feed. I know I can view just the magazines I'm subscribed to in kbin.social/sub. But I also think it could be nice to see what else is active outside of my subscribed magazines.

No way to block an entire instance then? I'm a little tired of blocking, for example, every feddit.de magazine because I don't speak the language.

Go to kbin.social/d/feddit.de and you can block the domain (or any other, just sub the domain into that url) just like you would a person, or a magazine

Only works so far on kbin, so if you also have an account elsewhere on lemmy you're SOL&JWF.

Thank you!

Just be advised, I've been abusing the hell out of blocking domains for the last day or so and I have noticed some of those blocked domains do seem to sneak through still. 100% made a big difference, but life still finds a way lol.

Yeah I noticed that happening a bit and I assumed it just needed time to apply the new settings. It's still way better than before.

You can click on the magazine tab and then on the sign next to "follow" to block it, just like you can block a user.
