This was really cute albeit a bit generic. The teasing dynamic has been done quite a lot now and done better so it's gonna take some extra oomph to make this one stand out. I'll give it a couple more episodes but even as a slice of life connoisseur I wasn't really feeling episode 1.
Essentially my thoughts going into this as well. I was hoping it would strike a vibe similar to "Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi (My Senpai is Annoying)" with alternative roles, but so far I'm relatively unimpressed.
I was planning to watch the whole season as the trailer and premise seemed nice, but I may have to bump it down to 3 episodes.
Seemed like they went all in to strike controversy before getting into the story which was a bit of an eye roll. I liked the fight scene. If they they do more around the actual magic and practice of magic with protecting the princess it might be a good season
