Went to a friends wedding and decided that all I really needed was my wedding outfit, clothes for the trip back, and pajamas. So I decided to try out my new underseat bag. It all fit jacket, included! Which was good because one of my flights was on a little plane where most rollarboards had to be gate checked. Hell yeah. That first taste of freedom from packing light is great. I remember the first time I realized I could stick with a single bag on a 10 day trip. It made the journey in Japan a lot more tolerable.
Over the years I've kept optimizing my setup more, and it has paid off in droves
