Article says Uber and Lyft put out statements saying it wont affect their biz, but they also are super mad its passing
Seems like this could be one of those things that passes AND actually helps people. Time will tell tho

Pretty much. They're saying they'll try to litigate it rather than comply. If it holds, people end up better off.

If they lose they should be forced to pay people for the time they spent in litigation as unpaid wages.
