The difference is the Hololens is targeted purely at business/learning applications. The Vision is being marketed as a home device, where a $3500 price tag is out of reach for most.
The Apple Vision Pro has Pro at the end of its name for a reason. Apple made a decision to start this product line going after the high end. I do completely agree that $3500 is out of reach for most casual users, but I also think Apple is going to sell every single Vision Pro they can manufacture . First year sales numbers for this product should be every interesting.
