I really want to like the song, but I don't. It's not bad, not good, it's just noise for me. Kinda like an appetizer for the rest of the album maybe? But I wished there was something else there instead... how do others interpret the song and it's placement?

Yeah, it's kind of a skip for me. I do think it's probably supposed to be some neat journey to take you from your life to escape for a while. While it is a cool synth progression that does give me fun synesthesia, it just doesn't feel as strong as the rest of the album.
