Something like r/sysadmin and r/networking. A place to discuss widespread outages would be nice.
Neuropsychology and philosophy discussions. Ask-science -type groups like whatisthisbug and Geology.
Anything based on sharing meaningful discussions. As opposed to memes and song-lyric-threads.

You have it right, just have to give it a few seconds when you start typing and you should get a drop-down list of options to pick which auto fills the link for you.

Everytime I tap a community from newcommunities I get a crash with the Jeroba app lol.

I also use jerboa and haven't figured out why it crashes, it depends on the url the person posted. My urls I just linked open the browser, idk why x.x at least it doesn't crash

Don't forget you can also follow communities on other instances too! If you put something like !Videos@sopuli.xyz into your search box (it can be buggy sometimes, give it a few minutes and retry). It should also already show up if someone else did that already.
