How do the status and passive boost of incarnon weapons work with exalted weapons?

While doing a build for Baruuk I started investigating but I haven't found a clear explanation but many seems to imply that you do actually can boost an exalted with incarnons. Hell some say cascadia flare doesn0t apply to regulators and some other do. It's a mess.
