Why didn't kangaroos ever hop over to Asia? Scientists may now have the answer

I know they mean via a land-bridge or some such, but I can't help but picture a lone kangaroo leaping from Tasmania to China in a single bound.

Tldr: kangaroos aren't a suited to the tropics.
