Effect of Frequency of Training on Progress

All,

How have you found training frequency to affect your workout results? What would be the difference if you bench pressed only once per 10 days compared to 2-3 times per week?

Good question. The only slightly relevant info I have is that apparently doubling a workout makes no difference. The study is obviously flawed by virtue of a sample size of 2, lol. But it's interesting to think about.

For myself, I do whatever programming my crossfit gym has, 5 days a week. We usually cycle various lifts every month or so, and I definitely have been noticing good improvement at this pace.

I think it really depends on what my volume is. I bench 3x a week, and I'm totally fine, but I don't go so hard that I can't recover in a day. There's definitely a point where doing more is counterproductive when you can't recover by the time you need to train again.

I think we have pretty established frameworks.

Sheiko is pretty high volume/frequency and I got great results from it. Although it was really hard and put pressure on my body, I got a huge jump in my nunbers in just one month.
