He’s making scimitars you jackass, they’re curved on purpose

EdibleFriend@lemmy.world · 25 pts · 2y (8 replies)

I'm clearly joking you jackass, the 'can't afford another wall' part should have made it clear I was trying to sound stupid on purpose.

Milk_Sheikh@lemm.ee · -37 pts · 2y (7 replies)

Zero punctuation, two fairly ignorant sounding comments in one run on sentence, no ‘ /s’ or any obvious signs of sarcasm

You certainly played a convincing idiot

EdibleFriend@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 2y (6 replies)

ah so thats the problem. You are one of those weird people who rely on stupid tags.

Sorry if humor without screaming this is humor offended ya.

Can we wind this up? It really isn't the place for it.

EdibleFriend@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y (2 replies)

lol dude i just tried to make a stupid and obvious shitpost and he came along with anger and toxicity.

PugJesus@kbin.social · 2 pts · 2y

Man, I got your joke, I'm not saying your original comment was out of place. The other guy didn't get it and objected; you corrected him. I'm not trying to apportion blame or who should have got what. Just let this be the end.

I still have half my popcorn left though

EdibleFriend@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

That's not popcorn

Absolutely flawless skin

Tar_alcaran@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 2y (2 replies)

The picture was coloured in, and the skin details were removed in the process.

Yeah. I figured as much. I was just being cheeky

Looks more like a Scabbard-Smith. 🤣

I don't see any indication of a forge. Looks like he is mostly cleaning, straightening, and sharpening based on the tools. But I am only the most amateur of metal workers and could be wrong.

100_percent_a_bot@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y

I'm making a wild guess and assume there's a forge in the back of the house. Would kind of make sense, I wouldn't want to sit next to a fire polishing a blade given the choice to sit semi outside

WarmSoda@lemm.ee · -3 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Did you want the full over head blueprint of the location to know the picture isn't fake?

troyunrau@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Please build a giant telescope, and then point it at a black hole about 60ly away, so the light from earth is bent back towards us. Then we can observe this photo being taken in real time. Well, I haven't done the math on the aperture required, but I'm presuming solar system scale telescope will work... Thx

WarmSoda@lemm.ee · 0 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Somehow I doubt that'll satisfy you.

I don't know why, but there's something cool about seeing swords and guns together, especially in a setting like this.

user134450@feddit.de · 2 pts · 2y

Uhhh you realize there are muskets hanging on the wall, right? I think its fair to say they don't just make swords :)

JairSterre@feddit.nl · 1 pts · 2y

For some reason this reminds me of Pakistani gunsmiths. Similarly sized shops, also sitting on floors, no doors etc.

Anticorp@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Is that an ivory sheath on his left?
