Why is the disc drive coming out the same side as the motherboard I/O?

tbh i'm a big fan of this
Somewhere in my house i should still have my old pc which over the years ended up with a 30cm fan from a welder bolted to it's side because around here summer is brutal. But they took the crown with this beast.
Someone tried to play the Ark sequel.
