What? How could you ever scratch glass with paper? Is paper ewtraordinary rough where you live? Where I read paper I have to imagine soft and delicate paper
Fun fact: amongst olden European nobility, handing someone a knife with the handle first meant that you wanted them to use it to kill themselves. Then again, they didn't actually hand each other knives that often afaik 🤷
You're haha on it because it's funny, but a couple weeks ago my friend gave me an empty glass like on the first picture for sure, and he was totally fine.

if you hand me my glasses like that i’m going to cry
and if you touch my guitar like that you’re going to die

You're fine with the orange juice and camera?
omgarm@feddit.nl · 17 pts · 3y
Hmm, hand flavoured juice.

That was just water, the color is from their fingernails.

Out of all the things you could've said, you chose to say that.

I did not choose to keep that in my memory

Out of all the things you could have chosen to say, and you decided that. I hope you stub your little toe twice today.

How else do you think Jesus made wine from water? It's all fingernail gunk.

"Here, have some orange hand juice! Tastes finger lickin' good!"

The third image reminds me of the following wise words:

Soft paper tissues work just as well in my one year experience of owning glasses.
Technological_Burger@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3y
I always feel like I’ll end up scratching them with paper tissues lol
radioactiveradio@lemm.ee · 5 pts · 3y
That's what I thought too, but I used the super soft ones and surprisingly they work super well.

Oh damn will definitely try it out…after I recover from this trauma you have caused my brain 🤣 ugh the juice makes me so uncomfortable

Hahaha. Some tissue paper has textures on it. I meant that could scratch it.

Pic 1 is a bit of a stretch. You'd have to be highly regarded to grab a glass like that
Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 3y
Highly regarded like the mayor? Like a pillar of the business community? Like Ke$ha?
McJonalds@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 3y
kesha could survive the public backlash for the glass

It's true, I was at a gala dinner and saw Sir David Attenborough pass a glass of orange juice just like that and nobody batted an eye.
