I made Pavlova a few weeks ago

Inspired by that Bluey episode of the same name

Not bad, but that topping creamy stuff doesn’t look hard and crunchy?

absGeekNZ@lemmy.nz · 4 pts · 3y (5 replies)

That is probably because it is whipped cream....

This is way.

Perfect your pavlova with this classic pavlova recipe - a spongy marshmallow centre with cracking good meringue shell, piled high with cream and delicious summer fruits

You sure mate?

Huh? Hasn’t OP put cream on top of their pav and isn’t that what the recipe also espouses?

Cosmocrat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 3y (1 reply)

I did, that's what my recipe called for.

Great job!

Pav should be covered with whipped cream and fruit. That's the rule.

Cosmocrat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 3y (2 replies)

The recipe I followed has the whipped cream on top with fruit.

tracy@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Yeah, that was a reply to the commenter asking why it was covered in "creamy stuff". Your pav looks perfect.

Cosmocrat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 3y

Thanks!

Marsupial@quokk.au · -3 pts · 3y (1 reply)

Uh, no.

Pav should have a crispy meringue outter layer.

HappycamperNZ@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 3y

Correct.

That is then covered in cream and fruit.
