I used to have a large colony of cherry shrimps but I lost them to the bladder snails and a massive plant die off. I am being much more careful this time.
I think a 60 breeder would be so fun to do. I love Khulis as tank mates for my shrimp I’ve had good luck with that in the past along with some young yoyo loaches. I hope you give it another shot :)
Oh I love YoYo loaches, but they get to big to be around shrimps imo. They are like toddlers in skin fish form too so that doesn't help.
I will give it a shot in the future when I can track down a 60 breeder for a decent price. After the big chains did away with their $1 a gallon sales it's getting too expensive to get glass without buying used.
Yeah the yoyos grow pretty fast and I had to move mine into another tank when they started getting too into the shrimp. They did wonders on the snail population though.
I miss those 1$ per gallon sales too. Basically I just wait for a good sale and a coupon in the emails now. I hope you find a tank at a good price. I’ve noticed everything over a 55 gallon they tend to be a little more stingy with the sales.

Lost all mine to a Ramshorn infestation.
Really want to get a 60 breeder and do a bottom feeder tank with shrimps, corys, skunk loaches, and khulis.
