My dad says if I can work out what this tooth is from, I can have the rest of the skull. He knows I'll ask the internet... More pics in the comments.

It was a dingo if anyone stumbles upon this. Basically a dog.

Sweet, I was going to say dog or some sort of canine.

What were you doing browsing such an old lemmy post? How did you get here!?

Wrong person? I replied 8 months ago.
Edit: I see someone above who responded 6 days ago.
Generally when this happens it's because someone was scrolling All and time is kinda ...blurry...on All. At least on the app I use (Connect), dunno about other apps/browsers.

I was going to say a dog! It looks really similar to my dog's molars, although this is probably from an older dog, since my dog's teeth are much sharper. They're basically like a bunch of knives inside his mouth. We call him Sharknado.

Actually I outsourced the pics to chatgpt and it thought they could be from a dog. My dad said it was native to Australia which is a smirk at the fact that dogs and dingos are a hot topic here, and arguably not native.
Years ago I got him fossil cave bear teeth and told him to work out what they were from and this was his pay back. It took years lol.

Wow suprised chatgpt was so accurate (assuming thats the right answer).
