No. Blue LEDs are used with a cover to create full spectrum white light. Bluer light makes our brain think it's day time and can inhibit sleep.

Also, only red won't disable your night vision.
But red was the cheapest leds in like the nineties and blue the most expensive, so blue became associated with more expensive/hi quality gear and vice versa.
