If it is in fact a squirrel, then an argument could be made it would be going up and down trees a lot, yes?
Which means that it should -- at least -- be wearing gloves (for climbing).
Also with the potential for splinters sticking out of the wood, wouldn't eye protection be advisable?
This one isn't safety rated for tree climbing.
