Question: can we set up something similar as the Reddit Switch Spines community? I truly like my colourful spines but I have no idea how to get this thing started!

I didn't even know Switch Spines existed until I saw your post, this is an awesome idea! It looks like they have an archive including templates, tutorials, and existing spines. It should be easy enough to create a community on Lemmy and just start posting.

Seems like the community is still active on Reddit. I wonder if it would be worth reaching out to the mods there to see if they have any plans on coming to Lemmy/Kbin?

Well, you could try creating a community for it if there is none yet. I made two, made a couple posts here and there advertising them, and found some people who are interested.
I'm not super knowledgeable on being a mod, so the communities are quite quiet right now, but maybe you're better at this. :D
