Hi all,
As our community is still small and not overly active, I thought instead of trying to have a weekly or monthly chatter thread up as a sticky, we could try a perpetual one and see what happens.
So anything you feel doesn't warrant a post of its own, just put it here.
Cheers and take care!

Does anyone have advice for a childfree person who wants to date but disdains online dating? Or will this be an impossibility because we are so rare??
( Sidenote Ive tried approaching in real life for the last 9 years and I get rejected like Im breathing air.I havent mentioned Im childfree to anybody but yall so...)

My advice is hold your nose and do the online dating thing. You can try other means of meeting people in addition but I don't think it's wise to throw out dating apps just because everyone hates them. Is it (nearly) impossible to meet potential partners otherwise? That largely depends on your location.
I met my now wife on Hinge two years ago. This isn't an endorsement of Hinge. In fact, Hinge kinda blows. But anecdotally it worked for me.

Honestly I feel that since so few people want to date me, its probably best for a person like me to leave ALL avenues open necause a person with few options has to try many more things than the averahe person in oder to get what or who they eventually want right? I dont think Ill rely heavily on onlime datimg, and by this I mean Ill only check my onlime dating profiles omce a month or so, and then Ill rely on IRL cold and hot apprpaching and hobby triangulation since my best experiences have come from IRL approaching . Also ot kinda boosts my confidence a little.
Oddly but I actually met the first persom I would ever date whenthey liked onee of my photos that I posted on my profile and I messaged tem back. They were also childfree and non-binary (So I guess I did technically tell somelne else Im childfree lol) but then they ghosted me a couole weeks later afterr our first dste. They said they. enjoyed thr datr and theu kept on saying they enjoyed the date and talking to me....but then they ghosted me.... I told them that 'if I did something erong please let me know and Im sorry but I wish you the best.'...and....that was the end of that forever...
