If you use Amazon, you can use the card there and buy a Amazon gift card for the amount. You would then be able to use it at Amazon. This way it doesn't expire as an Amazon gift card.

I’ve one from my bank for doing a survey for them. Painfully useless without ApplePay functionality. I’m going to pay my mobile bill with it, I hope.

If you have PayPal you could try linking the virtual card to that. I've had luck with that before. I foolishly chose a digital prepaid card as a refund once and PayPal was the only ones who would take it. I just loaded the money into my PayPal account and then used it on an eBay purchase.

You could exchange it for cash at your local "Person that gifted you this" store

So you bought a sketchy prepaid on some sketchy site and now it doesn't work?

OP made it clear that it was a gift. You were rude for no reason.
