First time I used a suppressor, I was surprised that it also acted as a muzzle brake. Thinking about the physics now, it makes perfect sense, but I was very much so not expecting a suppressor to notably lower recoil in addition to it's primary job.

In my experience, a suppressor does help a little bit with the recoil, but a muzzle brake helps so much more.
