Being a parent is a hundred times easier when you've got your partner alongside you. You can split the jobs, split the responsibility and split the time needed to actually be a parent.
Partner is back at work tomorrow and Monday, and then I'm back as of Tuesday so the dream is over until we're both off again in....July.

My mother-in-law is having surgery this week, so at my 4-year-old's suggestion, we baked cookies together for her. Pretty good day.

My eldest is going to be gutted that mummy isn't going to be home tomorrow. I expect crying. Lots of crying.
