Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd could be more fitting. But i think only Germans can understand it.

Aldi North controlled region
Bombardment
Suspected troop movements
Just rename the Aldi Nord faction Trader Joe's and the Aldi Sud faction Aldi, and the Americans will get it too.

Let's make an open source Team Fortress clone with this kind of premise!
That's because it's built off of source and uses valve assets. A clone in godot would be in the clear. Problem is that it has to be built from the ground up, so it's lots more effort to make.
Make it different enough. They can't sue, unless they have patented the Team Fortress formula.
That would be a banger, but who would host the servers?
Also make an open-source matchmaking service, that is federated.
peer to peer maybe?
