Le Trou (FRA, Becker, 1960)

If you haven't seen it, see it! Gripping! A personal favorite.

This shot reminded me at Delicatessen (1991).
The underground people there are called "Troglodiste"

To anybody who saw both movies: Are those Troglodiste somehow related / a reference to the Trou?

I'm afraid the only thing these two films have in common is that they're both French productions. In French, "trou" means "hole" while "Troglodiste" means "troglodyte." La Trou is a superb crime drama while Delicatessen is deranged science-fiction.

BTW, I liked Delicatessen. Thanks for reminding me!

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I have a list of movies for introducing them to my son. Delicatessen is nearly on top of it. (He loved it, btw.)
