The meaning of life is to create surplus value to bestow on cats.
Capitalists getting it too is just a side effect.
Think about it, historically speaking, capitalism basically rose alongside granaries and the ability to store grain. This is also when cats domesticated us.

The etymology of capitalist is actually pretty fascinating, it stems from a mistranslation of the Greek word catipalist, someone who was pals with a cat. Although historians and lexicologists question how consensual the friendship was due to the authoritative role the cats took over the household.
