Anyone else jumping on the LoRa Meshtastic bandwagon?

The cheaper v3 and more talk on youtube finally pushed me to order a LoRa board.

For a complete noob, can you explain the difference between the versions? Does V3 interact with the V2 OK?

Best i remember it's compatible but v3 has a few important updates.
