It's not like superhero movies are the only movies. All other types of movies are still coming out.
I can't stand comcons, but I don't see a reason to go into a discussion of one just to say they suck. Don't be so negative my friend, surround yourself with the things you enjoy not the things you dislike.

Isn't it like 15 years too late to have him as Hal? In the comics he's only like mid to late 30s at most. Fillion is 52.

He's likely going to be playing the grizzled and mildly insane Lantern Guy Gardner.
Leaves it open for Gunn to bring in different actors to play Hal, Jon, or Jessica.
