Yeah, Imgur was previously the recommendation as BluePower mentioned, but then Imgur started deleting images (which they said they'd never do), which prompted me to create perchance.org/upload so we have a place to upload perchance-related files that will live forever - I still need to update all the URLs on a bunch of plugins - e.g. background plugin, layer combiner, etc. and associated example gens. I'll get around to reuploading all the imgur urls on perchance one day...

I still wonder how these sample images still survive on imgur, even after the deletion incidence. Great story, I didn't know that long ago.
Update: I think all the imgur sample images there have now been changed to the ones hosted on user-uploads.perchance.org! @Alllo@lemmy.world

@Alllo Fun fact: The plugin page itself was written to encourage users to upload to imgur at the time perchance.org/upload was not made yet. That's why these images still use the source from the imgur site. I've also never noticed they updated that to change it to perchance.org/upload.
