First time I've heard of a tornado in Montreal. It's pretty crazy rain looking out the window right now

Thanks, Lemmy! Starting to come in handy

I knew there was a huge storm coming because I follow the #montreal tag on Mastodon and someone posted the warning immediately.

Does anyone here have any experience with these in the region? What's it like?

A tornado came down on NDG in 2017 (?), destroyed a lot of trees and damaged a lot of infrastructure, structures and cars.
Edit: apparently it was a microburst, don't mind me

That was a micro-burst, not a tornado.

Thank you for the correction, I was always under the assumption that it was a tornado.

I propose we do nothing about climate change until the parliament in Ottawa gets hit by a tornado.
Oh, wow! we have consensus!
