I was all in on the ruined egg because it's relatable and ghibli has a way of doing that but the fucking tomato was too much.

Like the other commentor said, it's not that it's unedible but the yolk broke. Personally if I break a yolk I just pan scramble it and have it that way. I like my yolks runny.

I've been obsessed with it!! The cooking is amazing and I love the philosophical bits that are woven through everything.
Are you worried the cooking focus might take a back seat as the current storyline proceeds?

no I think it's a main focus but I did notice a bit of a drop off when they got to the dragon -- Hopefully they correct course because I'd quit watching if it was just anime -- I don't really watch anime

Watching the eye bleach I got anxious because for some reason I was expecting you to torment me with grave of the fireflies. I watched it once and my tiny little heart cannot handle it a second time. That movie scarred my psychologically for life or something.
