Samsung shifts executives to six-day workweeks to “inject a sense of crisis”

6 days a week, 2 hours a day. That'll show 'em.

What does this even accomplish? If your execs are working 6 days a week but no one else is, is any work really getting done on that extra day?

I have never seen a problem get solved by the execs working more hours.

Employees under the executive level are not expected to follow suit.

I call bullshit. If execs are working then there will absolutely be pressure for folks under them to also be working.

This is how companies do layoffs without having to pay severance.
