Ripple's open market sales of XRP cryptocurrency aren't securities, court rules in landmark decision

This is insane. The company markets itself and its token like it's working on behalf of XRP holders

Edit: so I RTFA. The decision does call XRP an unregistered security but says that open market purchases are not investment contracts.

I think this sets up the exchanges as being sellers of unregistered securities.
