Notification bell stuck at 1

Ever since yesterday my notification bell is stuck on 1.

I've tried to clear my cache and restart the browser. Any tips on how to remove it?

EDIT: I could see a "Mark all as read" button and it worked when I clicked that. I can only assume one of the notifications bugged.

Does it go up when you get new replies?

Yes! But never lower than one. I’ve gone through my list of notifications but cannot find one I forgot to mark as read..

Odd. Could it be a mention or message?

I’ve checked them all.. can’t find anything sadly. :/

Try going to your all tab for your inbox and then clicking mark as read twice for all of the replies. It should deselect and then select them again.

Damn, sorry bud. Hopefully the bug gets fixed.

It did! I saw a "Mark all as read" button at one point and that solved the issue.

There’s so many. It’s takes quite a lot time tbh. Perhaps we need a mark all as read feature!

I suppose you only have to go back as far as whenever you noticed the issue. Yeah if the bug persists that might be a good thing to add.

Mine's stuck @ 1 as well.

You can go to the notifications and mark it as read by clicking the checkmark. It should disappear after that.

I know. I always do that. But I don't have any notifications, but there's still a 1.

Hmm, in that case, try to clean your browser cache.

I tried that too. It doesn't work sadly. Tried it on both mobile and desktop, same thing.

Yeap, this is definitely weird.

How about you try to login in private/incognito?

Do you still see it?

If it is, I would advise you to submit a bug report to lemmy devs here.

Yes. Same thing happens in my incognito window:

This seems like a bug.

Also it could be that lemmy.world is overloaded and is stuck at processing to clear this.

Keep it documented and submit a bug report so that devs can look at it when they can.

This is the 2nd or 3rd day I have this issue. I've submitted an issue on Github. Hopefully it's just a bug.
