Gonna be honest, and this is just my opinion here. I hate this swipe to bookmark thing, I liked having the bookmark icon next to the upvote/downvote. I hope it becomes an adjustable setting in the next update.
I dont mind it, but I dont like things changing that I am used to (its an autistic thing), so the loss of the 'Save' marker threw me a little earlier. An adjustable setting would be great for this, maybe an either/or thing
Ok, so it seems if you update to v0.10.9, we are back to the 'Save' button under the post instead of the swipe action... swipe still seems to work for me too
oooooh ok, on my phone the instance name at the top of the profile page overruns the bookmark and settings icons, I wasn't seeing them. That was a quick response and I appreciate it, thanks!

I was in the same position this morning, after the last update.
Swipe the post/comment to the left and it should save it.

On narrower screen this button is hidden and not duplicated in 3 dot menu. Then the only way is to swipe post left extra far.
Hopefully UI gets polished over time. The app is yet very young.

By any post/comment on the lemmy-ui you will see a star. That bookmarks the post/comment.
On liftoff, bookmark icon right upfront of you. You can also do an extended swipe from right to bookmark too.

Got to the profile tab on the bottom right of your screen and tap the bookmark icon on the top right of your screen.

On the top left you find a flag icon. Clicking it will add the post to the saved posts list.
