Because most sane people will stay far away from the political sector.

It's not just that assholes want power.
Having power actually causes neurological changes that reduce your capacity for empathy, making your brain more similar to someone born with psychopathy.

Because those who aren't self-righteous bastards don't end up in news articles like this. They're there, just a lot more invisible.

Why is this in globalnews? How in the fuck is this relevant to / impacting anybody outside the us???
Cqrd@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 2y
It's really not even impacting anyone inside of the US. All cops are assholes.

lol, she’s Republican. Turns out Back the Blue only applies when cops go after other people

Now she's going around tagging the whole city with ACAB, I bet.

Officer: Why am I an asshole?
DA: I'm the Monroe County DA
She also offered a lame apology. I'm sure she would have skewered someone else who acted like that, including charging them for running from the police.
She sucks. I hope she's going to be pushed out of office.

The apology video is pure gold, she reads it with this “can we just get this off the agenda already” look.

Well, everyone should call cops assholes, but don't be an asshole about it

The only smart thing to say to police is nothing at all: keep quiet.
