I saw this post first and immediately thought it was a new type of poop chart, then to scroll down 3 more post to find the poop chart..... i really really thought the simulation was fucking with me, untill i noticed its the same dude who posted both at the same time. So clearly that was his intent.

Geology? Looks a lot more like geography to me.

I know, right? If one can't tell whether people are using Cunningham's Law to drive engagement or are actually ignorant, it makes one not as eager to correct honest mistakes.

Ashyr@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 2y

Yeah, that was honestly my first thought, but I engaged regardless. I try to comment on a few threads every day, assuming I can think of something to say, just to help build the community here on Lemmy.

What's the difference between a lagoon and a big lake? The Cape is the small area of land jutting out into the water? How do you differentiate that from a small peninsula?

TexasDrunk@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Does it have a creature in it? Lagoon. Does it have a monster? Lake.

Peninsula vs Cape is a little more difficult and subjective. Depends on how afraid you are.

HeartyOfGlass@lemm.ee · 4 pts · 2y

Can you wear it? It's a cape. Is it too big? Peninsula.

93maddie94@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 2y

Saltwater lagoons and freshwater lakes maybe?

BearOfaTime@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 2y

Why do the Chesapeake and Delaware bays look like gulfs according to this?
