I make little paper and foam dioramas as relaxation activities

I do a lot of tabletop wargaming projects, but sometimes it’s nice to just make something out of nothing for the sake of it. I don’t get to show these projects off much.

Well I did not have "miniature foam-based dioramas" on my must-craft list for this year, but here we are.

They're adorable! Remind me a bit of the game Islanders just with different style houses.

Sorry bit disappointed, from the pictures I thought it is made of tasty cake :-)

This is adorable! What kind of foam do you use for them?

XPS wall insulation, from a hardware store. This was made with off cuts glued together and shaped with a hot wire cutter.

I leaned into the boxy kind of cartoon aesthetic.

Yeah that's a great choice, that aesthetic works really well. If these are your relaxation exercise, I'm eager to see what your main projects are!

This looks like a fun hobby, especially if you can use it in another hobby!
