I remember putting my Quake 2 disc into CD players. The audio on that games in standard WAV files so the soundtrack can actually be played through a CD player just fine. It was also a pretty great soundtrack.
I can't remember what game it was, but I had a PS1 game back in the day I popped into my PC to see what it had on it, and found some .WAV files and a music video for Type O Negative's Love You to Death on it. None of the music was actually in the game what-so-ever which made it quite an oddity. But it also led me to discover more gothic music so that was cool.

I think some if not all PS1 games could play audio files in a normal CD player.

Careful, that is probably the last good modern battlefield ever released.
