Could it match the Steam Deck OLED?

Something called Merlin? I need to check the version of the router to see if it's compatible. I can still access through the Android app.

The real question is can it match Valves warranty practices?

Asus is terrible when it comes to warranties. They likely will try to charge you a bunch for unneeded repairs and then send you a device that is broken.

ASUS is terrible not because they make bad products (in fact many of them are good), they are terrible because of their horrendous support.

There is no shortage of customer service horror stories because of this company. I would not give them money.

Asus more like a sus.

Seriously though send your money elsewhere. They are cheaters.
