I've tried Jerboa, Liftoff, and Voyager, but I keep coming back to the standard Lemmy PWA with the Lemmy Universal Link Switcher user script.
I want to share links to posts and content, but I'd like for the link to use my instance's version of the content instead of the origin, for two reasons.
-
It helps my instance federate content.
-
I want to make content discovery and subscription as easy as possible for my friends in order to push Lemmy adoption. If I share something with them from a community they aren't subscribed to, but they want to subscribe, I don't want them to have to go back to my instance, find the community, and then subscribe. If I was able to share a link to my instance's version, they would've just been able to open the sidebar (or app equivalent) and hit join.
Thanks in advance!

Edit: sorry, don't think that's really what you were asking for. On liftoff if I open in browser it does open this post on your instance though, this is the URL I get: https://lemmy.frozeninferno.xyz/post/1039227
You can format the link like this, it should open on your instance. Not sure if it will open in your app though.

I think Liftoff does that? You have the option to display content from whichever instance you choose, at least

It can display content from specific instances, or my subscribed list on my instance, but if a post originally federated from a different instance, tapping the share button shares the original instance link.

Ah, I see. Hopefully in a future version

I've created an issue about this on Liftoff a few days ago
