Planned Outage for Lemmy Migration! [Outages Expected]

Hello!

The time has come and we're moving the lemmy service to our own hosting! Expect outages in the next 24 hours.

Big thanks to the lemmy devs for hosting this service for the first year! It made it a lot easier for us to get started.

awesome :) we need to do a better job maintaining this lemmy service, but we're under the pump trying to move the Matrix service lately!

yeah, it is an interesting time, and as a major reddit user, i have jumped over to lemmy, and only knew you had one becuase of the recent update.

It will be great if this build lemmy to a point of competition with reddit.

The devs offered to run an instance for us a year ago, as a service it grew on us and only recently have people started showing more interest in it.

For the first year yes, they wanted to promote lemmy and we were curious about it.

We now have custody of it and need to keep maintaining it. :)
