how tf did George get there :o
Lando so busy trying to squeeze max he gave George a tow and a ton of space on the outside

"Can Perez catch Piastri"
The only thing Perez has caught recently is Covid, and Im amazed he managed that

Oof size: massive. That's a lot of damage!
Jumi@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2y
Perez is such a dissapointment
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y
And you're just now figuring this out? π
I kid, but he's been this bad all year.
espentan@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y
.. and last year. Well, most of last year, anyway.
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
You aren't wrong.
noredcandy@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
But good enough for second in the drivers championship. Not looking good for a follow up on that though to be fair.
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y
Glad to see Hamilton finally get a podium. Seemed impossible at the beginning of the season β Mercedes has made tremendous progress.
espentan@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y
Gasly in front of Perez, now there's a.. GAS-PER.
Edit: I'll see myself out.

Really drifting out there with this one...

I think Norris is a little too far away. Hoping though
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
We'll see with the tyre lives as they are. I think both of them may have to pit once more.
Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 2y
No the softs did around 20 laps in the 1st stint. They should do 20 again without issue now that the cars are lighter
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
Fair enough. I was thinking more in terms of track temps though. But...history is history, I suppose.
dimspace@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y
Max's timing with DRS zones is so damn good. The way he ensures he has a full DRS to build up 1 second before the other car gets DRS is nuts.
Drusenija@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y
Might have just missed it. Is Martin Brundle just not on commentary this weekend or is there a reason he's not there? Missed him on the grid walk today.
JJROKCZ@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
They said at the beginning of the year heβll be missing more of this year than previous years. Seems heβs starting to wind down for retirement and this year has a lot of races to cover. Even crofty is going to miss a few races with the calendar this full they said
Drusenija@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
That's fair enough too. Man has earned some rest! As long as that's all it is, was worried maybe he'd gotten sick.
calamitycastle@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
Man's getting on. Can't be long before Alex Brundle gets the call up.
Sentau@discuss.tchncs.de · 2 pts · 2y
Perez is getting lapped today. I am calling it
Edit - Perez has picked up the place since I made this comment
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
Dang, bad pit stop for Russell. Gasly had a slow rear right tire change too.

If Lando wins today, is Zak Brown getting another tattoo?
FrostyTrichs@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 2y
Cover that man in tattoos like he covers the car in ads!

I'm having to listen in Portuguese today, anything cropped up pre race I should know about?
lazycouchpotato@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y
Albon starting from the pits due to changing power unit elements. Overall probably insignificant towards the race result.

1,9 for Max. Impressive..
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
Is that the fastest pit this season?
dimspace@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
didnt red bull double stack a 2.0, 1.9 earlier this season?
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
I'm not sure.
dimspace@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y
If i'm remembering right, they double stacked and did 2.1 max, 2.0 checo
and then next stop they did 1.9 on max, 2.0 on checo
edit: it was china https://www.formula1.com/en/results.html/2024/races/1233/china/pit-stop-summary.html
two double stacks
SatouKazuma@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
Red Bull have truly mastered the art of the pit stop, it seems. The record was 1.8 by McLaren(?) I believe.
