Oh, wow - I found you again!

After seemingly endless days sulking around the Fediverse, looking for something interesting, I thought I'd check sub.rehab to see if Daddit had made the shift, and you/they/we have!

It's been a lonely few weeks...

Welcome! It’s not quite as active as that other thread-based website. But hopefully it gets there in due time! There are some other dad-focused communities here, too. Dadsplain, Dadworld, and Dadsonly are ones I’ve subscribed to. Hoping one or all of them take off in the near future. I miss all of the special dad moments.

Hello :-) there's many of us sitting around with our new balance shoes, jeans, and button up shirt waiting to make some jokes that pleases only us.

Don't forget the roof pod on the suburban hatchback! ;)

The rest of us are clicking our tongs a couple times to make sure they still work.

Welcome! I love your Lemmy instance account. Didn’t know about it until I saw your post.

Lol - thanks. As the instance's byline says, it's just a small, closed instance for some people I know, so we can do our little bit by keeping load off the popular instances. We don't even have any communities of our own here! :D

I just discovered this, (and a few other dad-focused communities), on here as well.

Glad to see some of us adapting to change.

It's clunky around here but it feels like the right new place!!

Yeah, kinda reminds me of my early tech career days - dial-up internet, DOS, Windows, OS/2. Scrappy.
