Do you know if he has any other children?
I’ve made up a story that he’s happy he isn’t saddled with Birdie anymore and he does his best to give the kids a more conventional home life when they’re with him. I imagine they have chores and expectations when they are with their dad that they don’t have with their mother.

life just finds a way. Life found a way for Sarah to leave her husband, land a new job with Shane, no resume needed and to get her house back a few months later thanks to Mommy and Dada. Rough life.
