Wrap it in a small bit of american cheese, then cover that in butter. Yes, dairy is not good for cats, but tiny bits (as a treat) can be worth it to get the meds in.

I found a pureed cat treat that my geriatric cat loved. I started washing his pill down with that
Now he hates that cat treat because he associates it with taking the pill
