Why go for a slightly less damaged but still weak candidate when we actually have good ones.

Eldritch@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (4 replies)

Because you can't run candidates who don't want to.

If Biden actually stepped aside you would be astounded how many Dems put themselves forward as replacements.

Right now everyone is being coy for party unity - but if you thought Whitmer was on Colbert just to promote a book you're naive.

I love Whitmer. She's my Governor, and I think she'd be an amazing President. But I really don't think folks in Pennsylvania or Georgia know who she is. Maybe with enough appearances that could change, but we're getting down to the wire.

There are FOUR MONTHS LEFT, this is in no fucking way "down to the wire."

Don't deal with bureaucracy a lot, do you?

If the top tier candidates Harris is polling the best. Which is surprising to me, but it's hard to dismiss the data.

xmunk@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 2y (2 replies)

They've run extremely selective polls and Hillary Clinton outperformed Harris.

I'm sure that now that she's the front runner (and presumptive nominee) we'll get some better polling coming out soon.

I hope so! I just want the best candidate to beat Trump.
