Hello,
I created the community “Japanese Metal” https://sh.itjust.works/c/japanese_metal The problem is, it can’t be found on several other instances. I tried on Lemm.ee and Kbin.social, and both return a “not found”. What’s wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

I read something here about it taking a few minutes for the search to come up if no one searched for that particular community before on this instance... I tried searching for it just now and the community already shows up on the search result.

I'm having a similar issue but not sure if I should create a new post. I searched for 'mma' here and it returns 3 results. I tried it at lemmy.world and it returned a bunch more, especially an active one in lemmy.world itself. I'd like to add that community but I can't find it anywhere, not sure if there's a way to manually add it? I see lemmy.world listed in the instances page so I'm out of ideas. Should mention I'm new with lemme.

Wish I could help you. In my case, searching for it a few times, then waiting for a few minutes kind-of solved the problem.

it works if you manually edit the url, so my guess is that populating some communities list is just a matter of time...
