All joking aside - what are you saying "No" to because of social anxiety?

I've been really longing to feel some sense of community and meet new people for a while now, but when I think about joining a group/club it just feels impossible. I'd really love to make new friends but it would be great to be able to skip the "talking to a group of people I don't know" part.

"Okay everyone find a partner" are the words I least want to hear at these kind of things

If I take a language class, they'll make me speak the language

My partner got over this and I couldn't be more proud of her. She started by taking one community college course with a friend from a local meetup and now she's taking multiple courses and running the meetup. Sometimes, all it takes is a push!

Usually, it's not so easy, and this is where I still am.

Not exactly social anxiety but sort of: streaming a game on Twitch in a second language and commentating in the same language.
